Leadership Built on Results
Throughout my career, I have held positions in the finance, construction and forestry equipment, compact equipment, and railway maintenance industries. These roles provided extensive experience in financial management, budgeting, strategic planning, contract negotiations, business operations, sales leadership, marketing, and team development.
Over the course of my career, I have been responsible for managing budgets, developing long-term strategies, leading teams, negotiating complex agreements, and helping organizations solve challenging business and operational issues. These experiences required careful analysis, sound judgment, accountability, and a focus on delivering results.
Financial and Business leadership
Early in my career, I worked in finance and credit management, gaining firsthand experience evaluating financial performance, managing risk, analyzing investments, and making sound business decisions.
Those experiences helped build a strong foundation in fiscal responsibility and financial accountability—skills that are directly relevant to managing taxpayer resources and making informed decisions on behalf of Cass County residents.
Infrastructure and Railway Maintenance Experience
For nearly 15 years before retirement, I worked for Loram Maintenance of Way, a leading provider of railroad track maintenance, inspection, and infrastructure optimization services and equipment throughout North America and around the world. Loram serves Class I railroads, short-line railroads, and transit systems, helping customers maintain and improve critical transportation infrastructure.
In that role, I partnered with major railroad customers to develop long-term maintenance strategies, support infrastructure investment decisions, negotiate service agreements, and build strategic partnerships. This experience provided valuable insight into infrastructure planning, budgeting, problem-solving, accountability, and the responsible stewardship of critical assets.
Experience That Matters
Throughout my career, I learned the importance of listening, building strong relationships, evaluating competing priorities, managing resources responsibly, and making informed decisions based on facts and careful analysis.
I also gained valuable experience working with large organizations, addressing complex challenges, balancing short-term needs with long-term goals, and delivering results through collaboration and accountability.
Bringing That Experience to Cass County
Cass county faces many of the same challenges I encountered throughout my career: managing budgets responsibly, maintaining infrastructure, planning for the future, prioritizing limited resources, and serving the people who depend on those decisions.
I believe my background provides valuable experience and perspective that can help Cass County address challenges, seize opportunities, and continue building a strong future for residents, cities, townships, cities, businesses, and communities throughout District 3.
